Holy Crow, It's March!

My baby is turning 1 in 24 days!  So much left to do for her party!  I'm getting so excited!  I've been busy crafting away- banners, centerpieces, invitations...you'd think it was a wedding.
The coolest thing I've done so far was definitely her "one" onsie for her party.  Its a barn-yard themed party centered around lime green, pink and cow print. (We're having her party at Rutledge Wilson Farm).  So, I thought I'd share with you this adorable onsie and how I made it.  I wish I'd have taken more pictues of the process...next time.

Step 1: Using whatever method you want, make your template for the shirt. I obviously chose "one" with the cupcake.  Be creative.  I found the outline of the cupcake using google image search and designed the font with microsoft word word art.
Step 2: Choose your fabric and use wonder under on back  Cut out your design.
Step 3: Cut out design, peel off back of wonder under and iron onto shirt.
Step 4: Using puffy paint, go over edge of fabric. It takes a steady hand, but if you don't have a good sewing machine for applique, it's much simpler and less stress!
Last Step!: Let dry away from little ones and make sure you read your care instructions on the wonder under and the puff paint!
*Its not in this picture, but I added a little orange flame to the candle with puffy paint.

That's all I've got for today!  We're headed to Springfield for a family date!
